Abstract

Against the backdrop of simultaneous changes in the impact of several negative factors on the energy market, as well as energy prices in the European Union, one of the least expensive ways to increase the energy efficiency of a building’s heating system is to use the latest approaches to control. A promising direction in this matter is to replace traditional indoor temperature control with thermal comfort control using a complex PMV indicator. To conduct a comparative analysis of energy consumption for heating using a traditional approach and using a complex thermal comfort indicator based on an improved room model. To develop a model to study the possibility of reducing energy consumption by controlling the heating system based on thermal comfort. The resulting model allows you to study the process of thermal comfort control. After conducting several experiments, it was found that the thermal comfort control system in the room during operation affects the amount of energy resources consumed, unlike the traditional one. Thus, indoor thermal comfort control can provide energy savings by using the complex PMV indicator as the actual feedback value instead of temperature. The proposed temperature control system, unlike the traditional one, does not have constant energy consumption in the room. Considering the change in thermal comfort parameters, which in some cases leads to the effective use of energy resources and the resources of the system itself. At the same time, under the same conditions, the indoor thermal comfort control system is in standby mode without turning on the heating, which ensures a reduction in energy consumption. Thus, this system, in the absence of restrictions on energy consumption, provides better heating compared to the traditional one.
