Authors Guide
To publish an article in the journal No. 4(36)’2025, it is essential to take the following measures until February 25, 2025:
- fill in an application form (at the link)
- send an article meeting the relevant requirements and payment confirmation (payment details are sent after peer review) to naukovipracidntu@gmail.com
Academic integrity
The editorial office guarantees anonymous peer-review of each paper. All articles are subject to plagiarism check via StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
The publication fee is 700 UAH (for 12 pages). Each extra page is paid additionally (40 UAH).
The publication fee covers the costs associated with peer review, article editing and proofreading, page planning, and publication of the electronic version.
If desired, the author can order a printed copy. It costs 800 UAH paid which is paid additionally to the publication fee.
The electronic version will be publicly available on the website by May 1, 2025.
The printed version will be sent to the authors who order it by June 15, 2025.
The editorial board is looking forward to original and review papers on the issues of modern information technology, information security, cybersecurity and protection of critical infrastructures, mathematical and computer modeling, information security in IT systems and networks (including personal data protection), automation of technological processes and information and measurement systems, electronic and microprocessor devices.
Basic conditions
- research was conducted in compliance with the highest standards of accuracy and integrity;
- a manuscript is original and has not been published before, incl. by the authors;
- the paper has not been submitted or considered for any other publication;
- free of defamatory, compromising or illegal statements;
- the use of external materials is allowed;
- confirmation of consent has been obtained from all persons or organizations;
- authorship is agreed prior to submission, and no one was “granted” authorship or refused to be listed as an author (ghost authorship).
Text requirements
Font – Times New Roman. Font size – 14. Line spacing – 1.5. Margins – all 20 mm.
The minimum number of pages – 10.
Languages: Ukrainian, English
Requirements for the article’s title
- no abbreviations;
- compliance with content.
Requirements for an abstract
- at least 1800 characters, incl. spaces and keywords;
- no abbreviations, which need the context for their understanding;
Requirements for keywords
- at least 10 words;
- no abbreviations, which need the context for understanding;
- separated with commas.
Requirements for figures
- The figure must be preceded by a reference to the figure (in the same section/subsection as the figure itself) in the form of Fig. 1, Fig. 2-4, Fig. 5, a.
- A caption should be as follows: Fig. 1. Name
If a figure consists of several sub-figures, the caption should be as follows: Fig. 1. Name: a – name of the first sub-figure; b – name of the second sub-figure.
- If the figure contains symbols, abbreviations, or acronyms that were not explained earlier in the text, the caption should present explanations.
- All figure captions must be part of the text.
- Figures should have text wrap.
- Captions are not in bold or in italics.
- All captions should be in one font and one size. The exception is screenshots of programs that do not allow you to edit the font.
- Indices in the figure should look the same as the indices in the text.
- On graphs, axis labels should be equidistant from the scales by at least 0.5 cm.
- Figures should be of good quality (at least 300 dpi). The inscriptions on the figures should be clear and easy to read, the figure’s lines should not be blurred. The figure should be free of noise.
- At least one dimension (height or width) of the subfigures must be the same. Horizontally arranged subfigures must have the same height, and vertically arranged subfigures must have the same width.
Requirements for a graphical abstract
A graphical abstract is an image that appears next to a textual one in contents. It is a single, concise, graphical and visual summary of the article’s main conclusions.
Authors should provide an image that clearly represents the work described in the article. It can be either a composition of several figures from the article or a specially designed figure. Graphical abstracts should be submitted as a separate file.
- Image size: the minimum required size for a graphical abstract is 560 × 1100 pixels (height × width) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. If you are submitting a larger image, please use the same ratio. Please note that your image will be proportionally scaled to fit into the available window.
- Font: please use a font with a sufficiently large size as the image will be squeezed to make the content fit the window.
- File type: .jpg, .jpeg, .png.
- File size: no more than 5 MB.
Requirements for tables
- the table header does not contain empty cells;
- if your document has a table that spans several pages, you do not need to make captions on a new page;
- all tables should be arranged vertically.
Requirements for equations
- equations are written using MathType;
- in-text references to the equation look like (1), (2)-(4);
- equations are numbered;
- equations are right-align;
- the equation is part of the text, so it must be followed by a semantic mark: period if a new sentence follows, or a comma if an explanation follows.
Requirements for in-text citations
- references to literary sources should be as follows: [1], [2-6];
- references should be arranged in the order of their mention in the article;
- all literary sources listed in the References must be cited in the text.
Requirements for Bibliography
- literary sources are designed following IEEE style. The number – at least 10 items.
- foreign sources should comprise 60% of the list;
- if national standards are used in the list, their foreign counterparts must be presented;
- all sources should be original (one item is mentioned once);
- the percentage of self-citation is no more than 30% (i.e., if you have used 10 references, no more than 3 of them can be to your work);
- all items should be provided in their source language (i.e., if the article/book, etc. was published in Ukrainian, the source should also be added to the list in Ukrainian, and not translated or transliterated);
- make sure all URL links work;
- sources belonging to the Scopus Q1 and Q2 should be highlighted in purple;
- indicate DOIs (if any).
References
- the Bibliography list (in the article’s language) should be translated into English;
- References should be drawn up in accordance with the IEEE standard.
Prohibition against using the aggressor state’s scholarly papers:
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list Russian-language papers published in any country, including papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.
